Ashbourne-based company Vaporline offers services in the fields of regulatory inspection, process control and general safety management. As a safety engineering consultancy it operates in a range of plants and factories in the pharma, water and manufacturing sectors to improve safety monitoring, engineer and implement better solutions and report on ongoing safety-related requirements. The company also develops remote monitoring and sensing solutions for rural locations requiring continuous communications and local sustainable power.
The company is keen to develop more capacity to provide wind and solar powered remote rural sensing equipment. Also to be able to offer commitments on quality to customers as it grows, based on ISO9001 certification.
The £4,770 Business Development Grant awarded by Derbyshire Dales District Council paid for initial consultancy on quality and for better computer equipment to support the engineers working on these new applications.
David Bottomley (Managing Director) says:
It was very useful being able to get help from Derbyshire Dales District Council with growing our offering for sustainably powered rural remote sensing installations. We want to develop to meet a growing demand especially from the water industry to monitor better and more constantly in challenging locations, cut off from mains power and easy communications”
