John Boswell, The Peaky Barber, previously operated from small premises overlooking the River Derwent in Matlock. In 2024 he moved to larger premises round the corner, with his own shop front on to Crown Square.
The £2k Small Business Adaptation Grant helped him to furnish the new premises with chairs, workstations and mirrors to make smart and stylish premises in a prominent location in the town centre. The ability to move to the new premises and furnish them to a high professional standard has safeguarded John's job and enabled him to create another job.
