The village hall is a community-owned hub which hosts a wide range of activities for residents from the village and surrounding areas. In addition the space is used for events such as concerts, birthday parties and meeting of local organisations.
The £13.6k Community Resilience Grant from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund was used to help refurbish the toilet/washrooms that were built around 40 years ago. The existing sanitaryware and flooring was stripped out and a partition wall removed. New sanitaryware was fitted, walls were panelled, new flooring installed and hygienic warm air hand driers added. Volunteers then redecorated the rooms.
Keith Quine (Chair of the Trustees) says:
The Village Hall is an essential community hub and offers so many varied activities. As a result of the Community Resilience Grant we now have first rate, modern toilet/washroom facilities that are accessible to all who use the Hall.
