The Welcome Team is a specialist housekeeping, laundry and management service for holiday cottages throughout the Derbyshire Dales.
Previously the company could only offer a laundry hire option for cottage owners (with linens hired from a large commercial company). However it was recognised that many owners wanted to use their own linens and there was a need for a service to launder them. The company researched new premises where they could offer this service.
The requirement was to set up a facility which would be efficient and responsibly managed, providing the ability to wash, dry and iron a large quantity of linens each week. A £14,272 Business Development Grant has facilitated the opening of the new laundry facility in the Old Cheese Factory near Elton - which is enabling the company to grow in many ways. It can offer a service to more cottage owners, offer more options than previously and has a bigger and better visibility.

We recognised that we needed to be able to offer a better laundry solution for our clients, but the cost of setting up the right facility was prohibitive. The Business Development Grant has helped us enormously, meaning we have created a professional and energy efficient facility. This is a huge development for our company, and we are so excited to get the new premises at Grange Mill open.
