Holdsworth Chocolate

Established in the Bakewell in 1988, Holdsworth Chocolates is a family-run business which makes high quality chocolates using the finest ingredients sourced both locally and from around the world. With a team of chocolatiers passionate about what they do the result is a selection of authentic handmade English chocolates, truffles and creams which are packaged into designer boxes and bags and distributed around the UK and the world.

The grant has enabled the purchase of a large 80/100 litre Planetary Mixer which will enable the manufacturer to produce larger mixes more efficiently. It enables the machines to be fed quicker, thus producing around 3 times more chocolates in a day than previously.

By increasing capacity the company will be able to carry on expanding into the domestic market as well as new international markets. It will have the ability to service more customers whilst not having to extend lead times, thus increasing turnover and hopefully profit. Looking ahead the business will be in a strong position to move to larger premises in the future.
