Sparke Club is a consultancy for food and drink businesses, supporting them with their new product development requirements. The company was founded by Emma Clarke and Hayley Spencer who together have many years experience working with products, development, branding and marketing, mainly in the food and drink sector.
The £7,680 Small Business Adaptation Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council helped the company to develop a prototype of end-to-end new product development software aimed at the food and drink industry.
The prototype enables them to demonstrate their product to investors in order to gain funding to build their MVP. The prototype has the look, feel and functionality to enable a quick and cost effective solution for product demonstrations.
Once developed, the software will encompass all aspects required to create, manage and document a new food product from concept to launch and beyond. This includes capturing, costing and archiving recipe development (with smart labelling services), logging technical details, managing artwork flows, managing timelines and costing the final product.
Hayley Spencer (Cofounder) says:
The grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council has funded the development of an interactive prototype which will enable us to gain external investment. We’re delighted with the support we’ve received from the grant.
