Businesses in the Derbyshire Dales can find the latest news on Broadband in the area via Digital Derbyshire. Digital Derbyshire is the county's digital lead, which has overseen the Digital Derbyshire Programme for the last few years.

Following on from the Digital Derbyshire Programme, the Digital Derbyshire team will be supporting the roll-out of Project Gigabit. This will deliver gigabit broadband to 67,000 rural homes and businesses.

Your business and your community may not be included in any commercial rollout plans. If you do not want to wait for your area to be connected through the Project Gigabit rollout, you can apply for UK Gigabit Vouchers through the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme. 

Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme

This is a national grant scheme from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. It is for SMEs who need to improve their broadband speed to the fastest available. Maximum grants fo £3k available.

The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme supports the cost of installing full fibre broadband connections direct to businesses for the fastest and most reliable gigabit-capable broadband speeds available.

Through the scheme SMEs can claim up to £3,000 against the cost of full fibre connection, either individually or as part of a group project. Residents can also benefit from the scheme as part of a group project and can claim for a voucher of £500.
